Car Spray Booths

by Guest Author on Nov.30, 2009, under Guest Articles

When you are spray painting, don’t be timid. You can bet you are going to get some runs and if you don’t wet the panel adequately then its going to show like a dry look with a lot of pitting pattern.

Will I be able to get as much speed with the HVLP?
Standard guns efficiency for transfer is about 25-30% whereas with the HVLP it’s about 65%. So needless to say, the gun excels in this department. You have to remember though that the closer you are spraying to the target surface the faster your stroke. As you extend your distance, you can reduce your stroke. With the HVLP, your target distance is 2-4 inches.

If the run happens to be during the clear coat application you can usually repair that once it cures. You will be able to sand out the run and recoat the panel. Don’t fall into the trap of cover-up. Meaning you load on more material to try to cover up the mistake. It just does not work.

If you follow the instructions, at least your application problems won’t be as a result of not enough flash time. What happens in this case is as the application is curing the solvents in the material evaporate. If you add another coat before this has fully taken place then the material is going to flow. Do yourself a favor and always add for a little extra curing time. You can save yourself a lot of work and headaches by doing this. If the car isn’t exposed to, even drying time such as what happens in cross flow spray booths then the colder side tends to run.

Finally, you get the perfect application and then a fly comes along and lands in your material. Don’t panic. Use a pair of tweezers carefully to remove it. Hopefully there will just be a slight imperfection that you will able to sand then polish. Worst comes to worst you will end up respraying the panel.

If you are using the clear materials, you can use the wide patter, but pay attention to what you are doing. You could end up with some really obvious bad patterns. The perfect spray pattern has to be perfectly even from top to bottom. The other thing you need to consider and will have to contend with is the over spray that occurs when the gun is wide open.

You cannot use a regular technique with this spray gun because its give out 10 psi at the cap as opposed to the 50psi in the conventional guns. This means the distance will not be as great with the HVLP gun that means you must be closer to the paint surface. For the convention guns, the standard distance is 8inches whereas with the HVLP it should be between two to four inches.

You can get spray boothscar spray booths and filters from Haltec.

Do you want to learn how to draw online

by Guest Author on Nov.30, 2009, under Guest Articles

If you have decided to learn how to draw online, then you are giving yourself a range of options. It is surprising just how advanced an online drawing course can be, and with video connections, downloadable files and images, you have the ability to create a virtual classroom within your computer room. The best part about studying online is the flexibility it offers. You can really free yourself up from scheduling constraints.

The best part of choosing to take drawing lessons online is that you can save so much time. Taking art classes at a school or at your community center requires you to get down to that particular location. It could be a ten minute drive, or it could be an hour by bus. Even if it is not so far away, it still requires you to block off that time in your schedule, which may prevent you from doing other things. If you learn to draw online, then you have far more flexibility with when you will take your lessons.

If you decide to learn how to draw online you can take advantage of a wide range of different drawing lessons. You are not restricted to whatever is available in your city, as you can choose from lessons being offered halfway around the world. If you have always wanted to learn to draw cartoons, then there are classes available to teach you how. Or, if drawing landscapes is more your interest, then again, you will be able to narrow your search to get what you want, wherever you happen to live.

Finally, you usually can’t beat the cost of online drawing lessons. In addition to saving money on any transportation costs that you might incur if you study at a school, online courses tend to be cheaper than their traditional counterparts anyway. If you don’t want to spend money on this kind of hobby at all, the internet offers a whole range of different ways to learn. You can download free tutorials, and copy different images that have been posted by artists for free.

As you can see, learning how to draw online really widens the pool of what you are able to study, regardless of your skill level. Technology has advanced to the point where receiving quality instruction from people that live miles and miles away is an easy possibility. If you’re able to still take lessons in your town, great. But the far greater convenience lies in taking lessons online.

7 Effortless Steps To Improve Your Email Marketing Campaigns

by Guest Author on Nov.29, 2009, under Guest Articles

The success of your email marketing campaign is often based on a set of complex factors. However, a number of these issues can be proactively managed to ensure an optimized response. When developing your next email campaign, consider the following guidelines.

1. Your list.

Certainly one of the most important aspects of any email marketing campaign, your opt-in list is directly correlated to your success. Are your names recent? Have they agreed to be marketed to? Have they shown an interest in products or services similar to your own? Make sure that you are using a house list (names you collected on your own) or have been purchases from a reputable broker.

2. Your subject line.

Getting a user to open your message is paramount any email marketing campaign. The best way to determine the subject line that works best is to break your emails into three random yet equal groups. Measure the response to each email and use the highest producing one as your control. In follow up emails, try to beat the response rate of your control email.

3. Your sender information.

What information appears on the sender line of your email? Will your prospects recognize it? Do they want to hear from you? Often times, emails are deleted without ever being opened due to an indiscernible sender name. Your sender name should be brief and easily understood.

4. Track your results.

Tracking allows you to determine who opened your message and clicked on a link or multiple links within your email. By determining what worked and what didn’t, you can replicate success on your next email. As described above, tracking is particularly important when testing subject lines, imbedded links, and other direct response vehicles.

5. Make sure your unsubscribe method is in place and working.

The CAN-SPAM act of 2003 requires that all email messages contain clear directions on how to opt-out from subsequent mailings. Provide an unsubscribe mechanism that allows those receiving your email to send you and email and indicate their desire to opt-out from receiving further emails from you or your business. If recipients no longer want to hear from you, it’s in your best interest to remove them from your list.

6. Your images are correctly referenced and you’ve used alt tags in each image.

Improperly referencing your images can cause them to appear broken when you send your message – the dreaded red x. To insure the image is referenced correctly it must appear as, img src=”http://www.yourdomain.com….” rather than, img src=”/images/picture.jpg”. Alt tags are another important part of your images. The new security features on almost every email client these days disables images automatically. Having alt tags in place allow your reader to identify the image and determine if it is safe to enable.

7. Test, Test, Test!

No matter what your involvement with email marketing happens to be, it is essential that you follow the guidelines above for successful results. In addition, the key is to test, test, test! After each email campaign, measure your opens, click-throughs, and purchases. Document the specific date, time, list, subject line, and content used to produce your results. Refer back to your documentation prior to your next campaign.

Email doesn’t have to be a complex form of marketing. There are many best practices you can follow and some simple rules that ensure effectively delivery, open and conversion. By following the simple rules presented in this article, you’ll not only deliver and effective email campaign, you’ll discover a consistent method for generation revenue for your business.

How to choice Blu-ray Copier

by Guest Author on Nov.29, 2009, under Guest Articles

Every kind ecommerce is special, so the applications and requirements for DVD Duplicator are going to be unique. There are several need to know factors you need to find out before buying a CD Replicator

. Once you answer these initial questions you will be on the right path in making an informed decision.

The first thing you need to find out is what kind video format you will need to copy? Will they be CD Audio, Video CD or DVD, or Photo CD or DVD or combinations of data types? If you are a church ministry, audio recording is the norm, and with certain replicator this can be done while the sermon is in progress. This is also true for bands and musical groups that want to duplicate their own recordable DVDs or a live recording. These DVDs can be made “on-the-fly” with live event recorders featuring direct video input devices. Businesses and colleges that produce DVD catalogs use a combination – multi-media presentations, forms and even video. You’ll want to know the specific formats you anticipate duplicating so you can limit the duplicator models you consider to those that will support all of your required format types.

You should also try your best to estimate the number of recordable Taiyo Yuden DVD Media DVDs you’ll need to duplicate during some fixed time period. Be it a day, week, month or quarter, your volume requirements will play a very important role in narrowing down the universe of available models to the most appropriate ones. Certain DVD duplicating applications require very fast turnaround times for varying volumes of discs, while others have broad production windows with lots of advanced notice of the production requirement. Do you need to produce DVDs immediately after a meeting or recording session? Or do you have a longer window allowing you to mail out to customers? Short production window parameters will significantly narrow the list of appropriate duplicator models for you to choose, but if you have the luxury of long lead times, your options are fairly limitless.

What you want the physical disc to look like after it has been produced, and how it will be presented to the ultimate recipient of the disc is also important. Will you want a 4 color silk screen quality print on the surface of the disc to provide a professional look in a clear cover DVD DVD case? Maybe you want to include your logo and some simple text, or perhaps you don’t require any identification on the disc at all. Whichever the case, you’ll want to determine your requirements in this area before you start comparing duplicator types and models.

Who will be using the machines is another factor. Are you going to be asking the office manager or department secretary to copy DVDs just like you ask him or her to make copies of your monthly activity report on the photocopier? Or maybe you know someone among employee who have tech knowledge to responsible for product the DVDs for the next scheduled release? Either way, you need to give some thought as to who the “users” will be. You won’t want to spent a fortune for a product which that is too difficult to operate…and therefore isn’t, or one that’s real easy to use, but as a result doesn’t provide all of the features that the power users need.

Another important point to consider is whether or not you want to limit or maximize access to the CD Duplicator.

Determine if your goal is to make it available to others just like any other office machine such as a fax or photocopier, or is it a tool that is better off locked where only authorized staff members can use it. Think this issue through before you make your purchase, and you’ll avoid any potential for buyer’s remorse

Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel Wii Game

by Guest Author on Nov.28, 2009, under Guest Articles

Next time you are looking for a great addition to any family’s game night just add Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel Wii Game to your cart. Without a doubt you will have more hours of entertainment for your family than you ever expected. Amazingly the concept is one that is very simple. The game comes with a steering wheel known as the Wii Wheel that your Wii remote fits into and you can use to “drive” for hours.

At the beginning of the game you get to create your own driver’s license. This is how you track yourself through the races you complete and place in. As with any license it has a picture and name. These you design using the avatars that can be altered to fit your personality. The game will pull avatars from your console to be obstacles as well. Make sure to trick out your Wii steering wheel with the grips and stickers if you are getting together with friends!

Play solo or link up with people around the world online. You can line yourself up against up to 12 people online. These people are around the world which is also a neat addition.

There are various methods you can play in. Grand Prix which is like the Nextel Cup, or you can race against yourself in time trials, or ghosts which are someone else’s time where you can see how you stack up to an expert.

The next step in your journey is to pick your character where as with life you can choose to be evil or good (Baby Mario, Mario, Dry Bones, Baby Peach, Toad, Koopa Troopa, Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Diddy Kong, Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, King Boo, Rosalina, Bower, or your own little “me”). The characters are all intricate and interesting in their own way. Just as Disney did when it created it’s characters starting with Mickey Mouse, Nintendo has expanded it’s characters from the Mario series all the way back to the Mario 64 days and even earlier. These qualities they have held through today.

Your cart can be customized using wheels, rims, shape, and design. These characteristics have different ratings for speed, weight, acceleration, handling, drift, off road, and mini turbo.

Once you have chosen your car and your character it is time to pick the race you wish to run. Chose your circuit racetracks from new and old tracks, some are from Gameboy, Super Nintendo, Game Cube, Nintendo DS, and of course new tracks designed specifically for the Wii. Each of these circuits shows a map of the track on the right hand of the screen. Don’t watch that too close though or the obstacles may wipe you out. These obstacles include but are not limited to 18 wheelers and other karts not to mention there is always the risk of just running off the track. These circuits each have 3 levels of difficulty beginner, medium, and expert.

You can complete the circuits for trophies and even get grades on how well you whomp the completion. This grade allows you to unlock more characters, vehicles, and options. In other words, winning is not the only purpose in this game. There are so many more facets that just what place you finish the race.

You are not resigned to be a solo player on this either. You can also play as a team. As with any real racing group, just look at Karters of America Racing Triad and how everyone while in competition works together. Join a team and compete together. Work together to achieve your goals. Or you can battle for balloons or coins, a form of go karting reminiscent to the old game of combat. Possibilities are endless, and looks like the only thing you can’t do is to make money online.

Over all I think the only group who really dislikes the Wii’s would be Washington Internship Institute, for making its name the same as the Institute’s acronym. Or maybe by this time they have resigned themselves to it and appreciate the recognition they get every time someone looks for the Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel Wii Game.

RC Helicopters Are Not Always Expensive

by Guest Author on Nov.28, 2009, under Guest Articles

It’s a strange thing to say, but one of the truly great dilemmas today is that there is so much choice, even these days when the credit crunch is making everyone more cost conscious.

You see when you have 10 items to choose from, all as good as each other, it’s at least 10 times as hard to pick one. And when you have to look carefully at the price tag, that’s an added layer of complication.

For big kids of all ages who want a remote control helicopter there’s a very wide choice these days. In fact you can even get started for under 20 pounds if you just want something that’s a bit of fun to play with and easy to fly.

Many people feel the best choice and value right now is provided by the Picooz range. They seem to know how to make fun, cheap radio control helicopters and their range is very wide and constantly growing.

More important than just a good range and a low price is that they are such amazing fun to play with. Give one to a boy – or a man – and watch how they pretend to be ace pilots! They’re a surefire way to get some peace and quiet for hours because they’ll be so absorbed in ‘flying’ the helicopter.

Since they’re very lightweight they don’t have the heavy crash landings that you gt with real’ radio control helicopters. So they don’t normally sustain damage the way the big toys do. In other words once you’ve bought one, it should last you a long, long time. Important in today’s economic climate.

So if you’re looking for a fun gift for someone who’s hard to please, don’t overlook the humble radio control helicopter

You’ll find that the value for money, ease of use and sheer fun is hard to beat. Couple that with a wow factor when you see one actually flying – and knowning that you control it – and you can see why so many people buy this miniature marvels of modern toy-making.

How To Speed Up Metabolism: Are You a Victim Of Metabolic Syndrome?

by Guest Author on Nov.28, 2009, under Guest Articles

Many struggling dieters realise only too well that a damaged metabolism surely leads to greater difficulty in losing weight and makes long term weight management practically impossible. Looking for advice on how to speed up metabolism is all very well but how can you tell if your metabolism really is damaged or whether you are just kidding yourself that you are sticking to your diet religiously?

By answering the following questions, you should be able to obtain a fairly accurate picture of how likely you are to be suffering from Metabolic Syndrome, which is sometimes known as being Insulin Resistant.

Take a look at the ten questions following and score 1 point for every ‘yes’ answer you give:

1. Do you find it difficult to shift any weight when eating a low-fat diet?

2. Do you crave sugar or sweet foods and do you feel a sugar-rush followed by a dip in mood?3. Do you feel tired, headachy or anxious during the day? Do these feelings subside following a meal?
4. Do you find it difficult to stop eating once you start?
5. Do you crave bread and consume more than one or two slices at a time?
6. Are you worn out all the time?
7. Are you thirsty all the time?
8. Are you often moody, irritable or anxious?
9. Do you have a family history of alcoholism, diabetes or hypoglycaemia?
10. Is your waist to hip ratio larger than 0.8 (if you are a woman) or 0.9 (if you are male)? To work this out, measure round your waist at belly button level (in inches), measure round the widest part of your hips and divide your waist measurement by your hip measurement.

If your score is 7 or over, then it is highly possible that you are suffering from Metabolic Syndrome, your metabolism is severely compromised and you are at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. You need to sort out this problem swiftly and would benefit from a visit to your doctor.

If you scored 4-6 then your metabolism has suffered some damage and this needs to be repaired if you are not to go on to more serious metabolic problems. Incorporating as many metabolism boosting tips into your diet and lifestyle as you can will definitely be to your long-term advantage.

If you scored 0-3 then your metabolism is just a little damaged around the edges and can easily be brought into peak condition by making just a few adjustments to your diet and lifestyle.

Don’t gamble your health by turning a blind eye to the warning signs – you have taken the first step by looking for advice on how to speed up metabolism, now follow it through and take the action that will repair your metabolism, bring down your test score and show you how to lose weight faster than you could have imagined possible.

Don’t put it off – do it now before your risk of suffering Metabolic Syndrome increases!

Transferring Video from 8mm Camcorders to Your PC

by Guest Author on Nov.27, 2009, under Guest Articles

When you have an 8mm video camera, you are going to want to find a way to get the movies onto your computer. One of the reasons for this is that you can then burn them to DVD so that the content of the video is protected. Video tape can get wear spots that will render that portion of the recording useless.

You can use the DVD to save your memories for much longer than a cassette is going to last. You are also going to save money as you can use the cassette over again by recording over it to make more memories.

One of the best ways to transfer video from 8mm camcorders to DVD is to take the cassettes to any photo shop and have them do it for you. This is also the easiest way. However, it can get quite expensive to have videos transferred in this manner. For those who do a lot of recording, it may be more cost effective to go another route.

You can purchase a video capture card for your PC or laptop and use this along with video capture software to transfer the videos yourself. The video capture card and software can cost a pretty penny, but the money you save over time will the make the investment worth it.

8mm camcorders are typically analog so you need to have a way to convert them before burning them onto a DVD. This is what the video capture card and software will do. It is going to render the video in a digital format so that it can be viewed and burned from your pc or laptop.

Without this type of software and converter, it is going to be nearly impossible to transfer the videos with any type of quality or sound synchronization. You can burn your analog video cassettes very easily once you have the proper tools.
